2004 VW New Beetle keeps blowing Fuse #43
The car starts really rough, but once started, seems to drive ok.
the main problems that cause fuse 43 to blow are
fuse 43 runs a few things canister purge valve canister leak detection pump mass air flow sensor secondary air injection pump most likely the issue is the secondary air injection pump. those or the canister purge valve. either are easy and inexpensive if you get the parts used or aftermarket. maybe 200$ or so for the air pump and 100$ for the purge valve.
If the fuse blows the car will still run, you wont have the best fuel mileage but it wont do any harm short term.
