Ford leaks oil when running

OIL LEAKAGE WHILE DRIVING

FORD LEAKS OIL

1971 ford 302.

There is a hole in the block on the left side (as looking at the engine from front of car) just above and ahead of the motor mount.
It appears to have been machined since it is perfectly round and un-threaded. Yes, it leaks oil when running.

First check:
is it just dripping out when running or coming out with pressure? Does it look like it may have stripped threads?

It doesn't correlate with any factory type oil feed or return and if someone had turbocharged it at some point in time the return would of been plumbed into the pan.
My suggestion would be to tap it for a pipe plug (3/8, 1/2 etc NPT) and see how it operates with the plug installed.

This Will Help.
Thanks.
