Where is the thermostat on dodge dakota 2005 v8 4.7 engine?


Locate radiator, find large upper radiator hose (about 2-3 inch) trace hose to it's connection to the engine. That connection is bolted to the engine. Under that device is the Thermostat for the engine. Once out, you can test it's opening properly in hot water, usually 180 F.
