How to Replace a Blower Motor Resistor

Blower Motor Resistor Replacement


Safety Tip:
Always wear safety glasses when working on your vehicle. Wear other personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary, for example latex gloves or closed toe shoes.

Remove the negative battery terminal.

Locate the blower motor resistor on the passenger side under the dash board. It is mounted to the the blower housing near the blower motor.

Disconnect the electrical connector to the blower motor resistor.

Remove the screws or bolts to the blower motor resistor and remove the resistor.

Installation is the reverse of the removal.
