1
Secure the vehicle on a level surface, making sure the car will not roll or lean when jacked up.
2
Using a tire iron, break loose the wheel lug nuts but do not remove. Raise the vehicle with a floor jack.
3
Secure the vehicle with a jack stand before starting any work. The pinch welds and the frame are the two best locations. Do not rely on the jack to hold the vehicle up while working.
